The Brands family of War- ren County is descended from Jacob Brands, who came from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, about 1775, and settled on a farm two miles from the Delaware River, owned by his brother-in-law, Aaron Feistler. Jacob Brands had one daughter and three sons, namely: David, the father of Jacob D., David, James, John B., Mrs. WilHam Blair, Mrs. D. Silverthorn and Mrs. D. Brown; Jacob, the father of Daniel B., David I., and of three daughters; and James, the father of William, John, David, Jacob, and of Mrs. James Lisk.
